John F. Conaghan, DDS
Dr. John Conaghan is a general and cosmetic dentist with advanced training and interest in aesthetics and smile makeover dentistry. Originally from Potomac, he now lives in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Maryland Dental School. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Anterior Aesthetics and Neuromuscular Occlusion programs at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Conaghan participates with various volunteer programs in and around the state of Maryland each year, and volunteers his time each month to take care of the dental needs of children in Montgomery County’s child welfare program.
In his spare time, as a member of the Chevy Chase Club, Dr. Conaghan enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. He has three grandchildren, and has run a half marathon on every continent!
Stephen W. Varney, DDS
Dr. Stephen Varney is a general dentist with interests in family, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He has special interests in oral medicine and adult orthodontic treatment with Invisalign® clear aligners. Dr. Varney is on the medical staff and regularly sees patients at Sibley Memorial Hospitals. He keeps current in all of the latest advances in the dental field by attending numerous continuing education courses and is a member of several study clubs. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Maryland Dental School. He was born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, and graduated from Walter Johnson High School. He and his family now reside in Kensington.
His outside interests include competing marathons and spending time with his wife and three sons.
John T. Corrigan, DDS
Dr. John Corrigan is a general dentist with interests in family and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Corrigan was born in Maryland. He received his dental degree at the University of Maryland Dental School. He also is consistently continuing his education to stay on top of the latest changes and developments in the field of dentistry.
Dr. Corrigan is a respected member of the American Dental Association® and enjoys running, working out at the gym, and spending time with his family in his free time. He is recognized for the individualized attention he gives all his patients and the effort he takes to make their experiences as comfortable as possible.
Gerald “Jerry” Palacios, DDS
Dr. Jerry Palacios is originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, where he grew up assisting in his dad’s dental practice. He knew he wanted to be a dentist by the time he was 16, and he could not be more fortunate to fulfill that dream working alongside his wife and treating our wonderful patients every day.
He thoroughly enjoys meeting the incredible people that visit our practice each day and learning about the interesting lives they lead. He loves practicing dentistry, helping patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and maintaining their beautiful smiles.
In his free time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, playing soccer, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Anabel Kelso, DDS
Herself a Washington DC native, Dr. Kelso serves the community she grew up in by providing compassionate dental care.
Previously an assistant at Capital Dental, Dr. Anabel Kelso is thrilled to return as a dentist, ready to deliver modern and individualized care to her patients. Complementary to her experience at Capital Dental several years’ worth of adventures took her to institutions around the country to hone her academic and clinical skills, including:
- Boston University: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
- Georgetown University: Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics
- University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine: Doctor of Dental Medicine
- University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio: Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry
Dr. Kelso is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honorary Dental Society and has been recognized for her clinical, leadership, and academic achievements. She is a recipient of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award, Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Dental Student Award, J. George Coslet Award in Periodontics, and the Adrian R. and Regina Kristeller Prize in Radiology. She has consistently been recognized for her clinical contributions and community service.
In her free time, Dr. Kelso loves exploring the DC area with her friends and family, keeps active and engaged by solving crossword puzzles, reading mystery novels, and Peloton-ing. She cherishes time with her husband Peter, who ensures she remains a loyal Washington Capitals and Texas Longhorns fan.
